Burned Children’s Fund Raffle
This beautiful, handcrafted wooden flag was created with a powerful purpose—to raise funds for the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund.
Lovingly built by retired Myrtle Beach Fire Department Lieutenant “Big” Al Nord, each flag is a true labor of love. After retiring, Big Al founded OnShoreDecor.com, a nautical décor business where his unique craftsmanship quickly gained recognition. His carved wooden flags have become highly sought-after pieces, known for their aged, rustic aesthetic and signature “rough around the edges” finish that adds character and charm.
Each flag is hand-numbered and personally signed, making every one a unique collector’s item. This particular flag is the largest ever created by Big Al and was designed specifically to support the mission of the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund—a program that offers life-changing experiences like summer camp for child burn survivors, along with year-round support for their continued care and healing.
Your donation not only enters you into the raffle for a chance to own this one-of-a-kind flag but also directly supports a cause that helps children and families when they need it most.
Why Your Support Matters:
When you donate to the Burn Fund, you’re making a direct impact on the lives of burn-injured children and their families right here in South Carolina. Your generosity helps provide vital resources for healing and recovery during their most difficult times.
Beyond individual care, your contribution also fuels life-saving burn prevention education and community risk reduction efforts—working hand-in-hand with local fire departments and emergency responders to keep our communities safer.
Additionally, your support strengthens the hands of those who care for burn victims by helping hospitals and medical teams deliver the highest quality treatment to both children and firefighters across the state.
Your gift brings hope, healing, and safety to those who need it most!
